March was an incredibly busy month for us, as it featured the biggest homebuilding show in the UK, the National Homebuilding & Renovating Show in Birmingham. We spent several months preparing for this and the event turned out to be a big success gathering a record number of 34 000 visitors.
SIPS Industries’ stand was very popular, and despite having eight specialists ready to answer our visitors’ questions related to building their future low energy homes, there was often still a queue! We hope that everyone who came, left our stand inspired and motivated to fulfil their Self Build dream.
Our Drawing Office Manager – Mark Johnston, had this to say about the show:
‘It was a very successful show, without any doubts the most fruitful for SIPS Industries so far. Our stand was visited by hundreds of people strongly interested in building their dream home that will not only be visually stunning but also energy efficient. We are happy to see that so many people want to build their own homes and they strive to get educated throughout the project which always results in building healthier and more comfortable homes. This is a very positive turn in housing in the UK.”
At the Birmingham show Pat Hynds, our Managing Director, delivered the seminar ‘All you ever wanted to know about building your own home using structural insulated panels (SIPS)’. During this, he described what SIPS are and discussed two case studies of SIPS projects that he managed.
If you missed this talk, don’t worry as Pat will be presenting again at the forthcoming HBR Show in Glasgow (16-17 June) where SIPS Industries will also be helping Scottish self-builders with their projects on stand no B931.
In the following weeks, we will share on our website and social media the link which will entitle you to 2 free tickets to the Glasgow show. You will also be able to pre-book a 20-minute slot with our specialist to discuss your project.
